San Diego- Perth Sister City Society, one of the 16 Sister Cities under the umbrella of the San Diego International Sister Cities Association, is proud to present “North Park Celebrates Australia Day”. A fun, day of celebration in our community.
Reactivated in November 2017, the SDPSCS has enjoyed a partnership with Perth, Western Australia since 1987. The partnership was formed with the City of Perth and the City of San Diego following the relationships enjoyed by San Diegans and West Australians during the America (Australia) Cup defense!
Perth is the capital city of Western Australia. It is the largest city and the fourth most populous city in Australia with a population of over two million people. It is located in the south-west of Australia and enjoys a similar mild climate and setting as San Diego.
SanDISCA’s mission as the umbrella organization is to increase the visibility, effectiveness, efficiency and viability of the City of San Diego’s Sister City Societies and to guide the development of proposed Sister City relationships, thereby supporting their missions in the areas of cultural, educational, and economic relationships.
