IN NORTH PARK

Australians take the day to join with family and friends throughout the world to celebrate our country and our roots. A day of fun, joining together, and enjoying each other’s company.

In San Diego, the San Diego-Perth Sister City Society and the San Diego Lions would like to invite you to Celebrate the Day! Please join us at the following venues:

The San Diego Lions Australian Football Club starts
the day with an Australia Day Potluck Picnic from
11:00 to 3p.m. at Liberty Station.
North Park Beer Co., – 3pm to close

Mike Hess Brewery – 3pm to close

OUR ORGANIZERS

San Diego- Perth Sister City Society, one of the 16 Sister Cities under the umbrella of the San Diego International Sister Cities Association, is proud to present “North Park Celebrates Australia Day”. A fun, day of celebration in our community.

SDPSCS

Reactivated in November 2017, the SDPSCS has enjoyed a partnership with Perth, Western Australia since 1987. The partnership was formed with the City of Perth and the City of San Diego following the relationships enjoyed by San Diegans and West Australians during the America (Australia) Cup defense!

PERTH

Perth is the capital city of Western Australia. It is the largest city and the fourth most populous city in Australia with a population of over two million people. It is located in the south-west of Australia and enjoys a similar mild climate and setting as San Diego.

SANDISCA

SanDISCA’s mission as the umbrella organization is to increase the visibility, effectiveness, efficiency and viability of the City of San Diego’s Sister City Societies and to guide the development of proposed Sister City relationships, thereby supporting their missions in the areas of cultural, educational, and economic relationships.
